Financial reports
Demo School’s bursar wants to know both whether the term generated a surplus and whether enough cash remains for suppliers. Profit and loss and cash flow answer different questions. Use the same period and reporting scope when comparing them.

Export and share a reviewed result
Use Print, Export CSV or the additional export-format menu for Excel where available. Keep the selected dates and scope with the output so another reviewer can reproduce the result. Check the completed output before distributing it.
When numbers differ
- Compare like-for-like dates, currencies, books and dimensions.
- Check whether a transaction remains a draft, was reversed or posted outside the selected range.
- Trace the account through General ledger to the source. A receipt can settle earlier income; cash collected is not automatically this period’s revenue.
- For a closing-period comparison, account for the closing journal and its date.
